Beyond the classroom, our scholars have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of school-sponsored activities.
Our academic program is further enriched by extracurricular programs and experiences.
Clubs change annually based on student and teacher interest. Current clubs include “COMMIT to be FIT” Fitness Club, “Just Us Girlz” Social Club, Student Council, and Girl Scouts. We encourage students to bring their ideas.
We offer many sports opportunities. Currently, we offer sports including boys basketball, girls basketball, cheerleading, and volleyball. All grade levels are eligible. These sports take place after school and on the weekends.
Field trips offer a change for students to learn outside the classroom. Field trips are provided over the course of the school year, and, depending on grade level, typically include excursions throughout the Canton area. Information regarding field trips, times, and locations will be provided to parents by classroom teachers and administration.
Plain Local Residents: Students living over 1 mile from Canton College Preparatory may benefit from free bus transportation provided by Petermann. Families must apply for this service by filling out the Transportation Request Form and turning it in to the School Office. If you are trying to locate a bus en route, please contact 330-773-4222.
Free Breakfast & Lunch
Healthy bodies fuel healthy minds! All scholars receive free breakfast and free lunch each school day as part of the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program. Each healthy meal includes protein, fruits, vegetables, whole grain products, and milk.

We observe a strict dress code policy for all grade levels as a way to help our school stay focused on academics and help our school stay focused on academics and help our families keep wardrobe costs affordable. Scholars are also required to wear a school tie and a school blazer (middle school only) which will be provided by the school. Read our entire Dress Code Policy here.
A safe and secure school is our first priority. We incorporate physical security measures and crisis planning to keep our school safe. Our school safety plan includes on-going training for all teachers and support staff.
