Letter From Our New Principal, Reggie Corner

Greetings everyone,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal at Canton College Prep. It is with great enthusiasm that I join this esteemed educational community and embark on this journey of collaboration, growth and academic excellence. I am honored to be a part of a team that is dedicated to fostering a positive and nurturing environment for our students.

Being from this amazing community and having passion for student success, and with years of experience in Education, I am committed to supporting the mission and vision of Canton College Prep. Pieces of my background include a strong focus on supporting instructional development, student engagement, and school improvement initiatives. I am excited to contribute my skills and expertise to further enhance the educational experience for all students.

I believe in the power of open communication and collaboration between educators, students and parents. Together we can create a supportive and enriching learning environment that empowered students to reach their full potential. I am looking forward to getting to know you and working collaboratively to continue the tradition of academic excellence.

My educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science of Education from the University of Akron, a Master of Educational Leadership from Cleveland State University, and I am currently enrolled in a Doctoral Program at Cleveland State University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various educational roles, mentoring, teaching, and leading. One Recently was an Assistant Principal at Canton McKinley High School for the past 3 years.

Each of these experiences have provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students, parents, and educators. At Canton College Prep, my goal is to build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement, and to work collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students.

I believe in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas, promotes positive citizenship, and values the unique talents and contributions of every individual.
